A. Player must, at all times, be progressing towards passing grades in all classes.
B. Player must be in school or have valid excuse for absence to be eligible to participate in that days activity.
C. Player must inform coaching staff with a valid excuse if unable to attend practice or game.
D. Players must report all injuries to the coaching staff.
E. Serious injuries (ie: concussion) will require medical approval before returning to the ice.
F. Foul language will not be tolerated at anytime while participating on the Kennedy Girls Hockey Team. This includes but is not limited to: games, practices, locker rooms, and arenas. If after warning, should that language persist, disciplinary action will be taken.
G. Abuse of officials, teammates, opponents, or coaching staff will not be tolerated. Loss of playing time will result if this action is detrimental to the team.
H. Locker room etiquette is expected to be adhered to by all players.
I. Unexcused absence from practice could result in loss of playing time.
J. Tardiness for team events without a valid excuse is grounds for disciplinary action.
K. Players will ride the team bus to and from all games when a bus is furnished (exceptions must be cleared in advance of the game and only by a parent/guardian).
Coaches Expectations of Players
Players will be ready to hit the ice 15 minutes before practice is scheduled to start.
Attendance is expected at all team functions unless previously excused or sickness occurs. The coach must be notified if a player will be absent.
Always give 100% effort - Go beyond your perceived limits.
Communicate any concerns to the coaching staff.
Do not be afraid to make mistakes, that is how you learn.
Support your teammates - be a "TEAM PLAYER".
Be a positive role model at all times.
STAY CHEMICAL FREE
Always exhibit good sportsmanship.
Be a coachable, responsible individual.
Understand that playing time is earned through a combination of effort, performance, understanding of the game, and overall talent. As a result, game time ice will not be equal nor is it guaranteed.

Player Expectations of Coaches
Coaches will treat all players respectfully and strive to improve their individual skill level.
Coaches will always have an open line of communication.
Coaches will strive to put individuals in an environment where they can succeed.
Coaches will maintain a safe practice environment.
Coaches will develop concepts that best give the team the opportunity to succeed.
Coaches will at all times exhibit good sportsmanship, before, during and after games.
Kennedy Girls Hockey Lettering Policy
A player must be academically eligible.
A player must not be under any serious disciplinary action.
A player must participate in 2/3's (two-thirds) of the total number of periods played during the regular Varsity season (excluding overtime). If a game goes into running time in the third period, this period will not count towards time played.
A player must attend all practices/games unless there is a valid excuse.
A player must maintain an attitude that is not detrimental to the team or her teammates.
Any Senior player not meeting the listed criteria, but that has participated on the JV/Varsity squad for a minimum of 3 (three) seasons.
